Content Requirements
At Bogoni Research & Publishing, we champion non-fiction works that combine scholarly rigor with real-world impact. To ensure your manuscript aligns with our mission and expertise, please observe the following content guidelines:
- Research-Driven Focus
- Your book should be grounded in systematic inquiry, whether empirical studies, theoretical analysis, case research, or mixed methods.
- Topics should tie back to our core themes, such as economic opportunity metrics, life-readiness programs, systems change, vocational and digital skills development, education policy, or community impact.
- Clear Structure & Depth
- Include a concise introduction that frames the problem and objectives.
- Provide a literature review or contextual background demonstrating how your work builds on existing knowledge.
- Detail your methodology or analytical approach, and present findings or case narratives with appropriate data or examples.
- Conclude with practical recommendations, lessons learned, or a roadmap for application.
- Scholarly Standards
- All claims must be supported by credible sources, peer-reviewed articles, primary data, fieldwork observations, or official reports.
- Use a consistent citation style (APA, Chicago, etc.) for footnotes/endnotes and a full bibliography.
- Ensure originality: your manuscript must not be under contract elsewhere and any third-party material must be properly licensed or cited.
- Local & Global Relevance
- While South African case studies and data are highly encouraged, your insights should speak to wider audiences and contexts.
- Demonstrate how local lessons can inform broader practice, policy, or scholarship.
- Accessibility & Engagement
- Write in a clear, engaging style—balance academic depth with readability for practitioners and policy-makers.
- Where appropriate, include figures, tables, or sidebars to highlight key data and “Hidden Worker” reflections.
- Manuscript Specifications
- Length: typically 40,000–80,000 words for a full-length book.
