People & Work Lab
This is the Bogoni research lane built for organisations and real workplaces. Performance systems. Culture. Readiness. Absenteeism. Service delivery behaviour. The work is simple in principle: gather evidence properly, interpret it cleanly, and return findings that a team can act on.
What we solve (the real problems behind “HR issues”)
Organisations often describe symptoms: “people don’t care”, “performance is low”, “teams resist change”. The lab reframes symptoms into measurable questions and defensible evidence.
Service Lines (how the lab is packaged)
1) Organisational Diagnostic Studies Core
A focused study to identify what is driving workplace outcomes: climate, leadership behaviours, system constraints, policy gaps, workload structure, incentives, or skill mismatch. Delivered with clear findings, evidence tables, and a practical action map.
2) Survey Design + Reporting Packs Quant
Instrument build or refinement, sampling logic, data cleaning, analysis, and interpretation—then reporting that reads clean. Dashboards are optional; interpretation is not.
3) Qualitative Insight Studies Qual
Interviews / focus groups to understand the “why” behind the numbers—useful when policies exist but behaviour does not follow. Themes are mapped to decisions (not just “themes for a chapter”).
4) Public Sector & Service Delivery Research Applied
Research built for government and public entities: organisational performance, citizen experience, accountability patterns, and practical recommendations that align to governance and implementation realities.
5) Monitoring, Learning & Workforce Evidence Bridge
When programmes target livelihoods, employability, or workplace change—this lab connects to MERL Energy so results and reporting align.
6) Evidence Briefs for Executives Fast
A short, high-clarity evidence pack for meetings: key findings, what they mean, risk notes, and actionable recommendations. Built for decision-makers who don’t have time for 100 pages.
Our research workflow (what keeps the work defensible)
The lab follows a disciplined workflow so findings don’t collapse under scrutiny. If the question is weak, we strengthen it. If the method is misaligned, we correct it. If interpretation is vague, we tighten it.
- Step 1 — Research framing: clarify the decision question, define variables, agree on outcomes.
- Step 2 — Design: sampling strategy, instrument logic, field protocol, ethics/compliance checks.
- Step 3 — Data handling: cleaning rules, coding structure, audit trail and evidence tables.
- Step 4 — Analysis: quantitative / qualitative analysis aligned to the research questions (not random tests).
- Step 5 — Interpretation: what it means, what it does not mean, what can be concluded defensibly.
- Step 6 — Delivery: report + executive brief + optional dashboard + presentation-ready extracts.
Who this is for
- HR teams and OD units needing proof, not opinions.
- Public entities needing evidence on performance and behaviour.
- SETAs and skills programmes needing labour/impact insights.
- NGOs running workforce or livelihoods interventions.
- Managers who need a diagnostic before they change policy.
- Teams under audit pressure who need clean reporting.
- Researchers needing method discipline and credible outputs.
- Organisations seeking actionable recommendations backed by data.
